COPA Fitness is the name of Katie Robertson’s business, a personal trainer based who operates between North Wales and London. COPA Fitness was founded after Katie took part in a number of endurance events herself including Ironman Bolton. Katie decided to train as a PT in 2019 to help inspire children and adults to achieve their fitness goals. Katie now offers both online and in-person group classes alongside private training.
As COPA Fitness was established during the Covid-19 pandemic, Katie needed to offer a strong online presence, with a marketing strategy, to grow her client base online. With no experience of digital marketing, Kate engaged Goose Bay to create a brand-new website, brand, and social media platform for her to advertise her services.
Following a series of scoping meetings with Katie, we carried out an internal creative workshop to configure the best name, colour palette and logo to represent her business. From this workshop, the name COPA Fitness (Copa meaning Summit in Welsh) was born! Once agreed by the client, we built a website which fell into our ‘Silver Package’ offering.
After taking full control of the domain purchase and hosting, we built a bespoke website, adding all the content learned from our regular conversations. With a background in the sports industry, as well as varying primary research carried out on potential customers, we presented Kate with a simple, easy website which she could update herself, with minimal IT training.
Following a competitor social media review, we presented Kate with a bespoke COPA Fitness Instagram account, as well as a bundle of social content ideas to help build momentum. We suggested ways in which she could boost her following and advertise her online classes through linking to her website.
Kate now has full control of the COPA Fitness website. We handed over a comprehensive user guide for both the website edits and her social media account so that all records were held in one place.
Since launching COPA Fitness, Katie now has a following of 350+ on her Instagram, a series of return private classes, kids classes, and offers three HIIT sessions a week: which attract between 20 and 30 clients per session.
