bluemarlin, established in 1993, is a strategic brand design agency. They drive meaningful and profitable growth for brands through strategy & brand design. They combine strategic depth and creative adrenaline to ignite brand acceleration. With offices in Bath, London, Mumbai & New York they have an impressive roster of past and present clients including Schweppes, Thatcher’s, Mooncup, Dr.Beckmann and Sensodyne. 

The Problem

Like any successful agency bluemarlin focuses most of its time and energy on producing award-winning work for their clients. This left little capacity left over to look after their own social channels. Before working with Goose Bay, bluemarlin’s social channels had been passed around the team which resulted in inconsistent content with minimal direction. bluemarlin were acutely aware that in order to service their loyal followers effectively and to keep up with their competitors it was an important area to improve. 

The Solution

bluemarlin instructed Goose Bay to complete a full audit of their social media channels, including a competitor review. Using the findings, we created a new social strategy for bluemarlin which included reducing the number of live channels to three key platforms (Twitter, Instagram & LinkedIn). Once the audit and strategy were delivered and approved by the wider team, we were instructed to manage all social channels on bluemarlin’s behalf. This included content ideation, briefing in new assets into the studio through to copywriting posts and uploading. 

Goose Bay works with an internal project team, populating their social calendar to ensure they are amplifying their brand through a mixture of content topics in line with their strategy.

The Results

Regular content going out on bluemarlin’s channels has seen a huge increase in engagement on Twitter, Instagram & LinkedIn. The new and improved social channels are a great way of showcasing what the company has been up, which in turn motivates employees and attracts new ones! The continuation of this relationship after one year of working together is testament to the positive results achieved.
