Rich started his bid management career working in-house for a range of large corporates and regional SMEs. To date he has led hundreds of national and international tender proposals to both private and public sector clients, winning over £200m in new business.
From coordinating global property teams to coaching law firm directors on presentation techniques, Rich specialises in building rapport with all levels quickly. He is a natural problem solver and manages complex response programmes without breaking a sweat.
Never afraid to get his hands dirty, Rich does what it takes to provide clients with solutions and best practice learned from 12+ years of experience.
Outside of work, you’ll find Rich enjoying an abundance of adventure sports between Poole Harbour and the Purbecks. He also volunteers as a Surf Mentor for The Wave Project; a foundation set up to improve the mental health of children and young people.

Rich was appointed in Summer 2022 to temporarily lead the existing bid team, which included mentoring new joiners and allocating resources for several high profile and complex bids at this Top 100 Law Firm. In this time Rich worked with people of all levels at the firm, from junior lawyers through to Managing Partners. He secured some vital wins, including two significant re-tender framework tenders.
In February 2023, whilst the firm was recruiting to expand their bid team, Rich was brought back to lead on some large tenders, as well as re-shape and improve the existing bid library and response templates.

at Savills (UK) Limited

For six months in 2021/22, Rich formed an extension of the existing Savills bid team. In this time he led on some sizeable tenders, some which included several high-profile stakeholders.
Working mostly remotely but also at Savills HQ in London, Rich embedded himself within the culture of the business to achieve some large wins, and relieve some of the pressure from other senior bid managers. In April 2023 Rich joined the team again, covering whilst a number of in-house team members were on leave.

Already established in Australia, Rich was involved from the beginning of the UK business, working directly with the Managing Director to develop new business materials and strategic messaging.
After two initial leads were obtained from the MD, Rich put together tailored capability documents which led to the appointment on both projects. Rich continues to advise FACTION on a variety of BD matters and ongoing tender opportunities.
